I heard a rumour that most of the ticket inspectors and station staff will not do anything to stop a fight or remove drunk people etc from the trains or stations.

If this is true, what is the point of having them? Other than the role of checking tickets. Didn't the govt put them on the trains and stations to increase safety.

What do other people think?
