SIXTY per cent of Aussie travellers are either members of the Mile High Club or would like to become a member, according to a new survey.
Travel website totaltravel.com asked 1110 people whether they would consider a midair sex romp.
Almost half said they would love a sky-high adventure, but had not yet earned their wings, but 12 per cent said they were already fully fledged members.
The remaining 42 per cent said cramped and smelly toilets were not their style.
Totaltravel.com global marketing manager Paul Fisher said Australian travellers were more adventurous than he had expected.
"People are obviously looking for more stimulating entertainment than a movie or a CD when travelling by plane," he said.
"Mind you, with the advent of the new A380 super jumbos, some boasting configurations with full-sized stand-alone beds, earning one's stripes is a lot easier than it once was."
He urged travellers to be mindful of their fellow passengers if gripped by "Mile High madness".
