Other than during testing of the BTS and MRT these mass transport railways only ever use 3 car trains every few minutes but the stations are designed for 6 cars if needed in the future.

Several years ago, I was waiting for a Silom Line train at Siam during rush hour when a train came in rather fast,  At first, I thought it had overshot its stopping point, but then realized they had six cars coupled together.  That is the oniy time I have seen this.

Just discovered your blog. Love it! I've used nothing but mass transport since living in Thailand. I don't think I'll ever go back to driving a car! I tried to reply to your latest item on the blog but the security code thing wasn't working which is why I've joined the forum. I live and work in Nakhon Ratchasima so if there are any mass transport related photos you want taking up here, or any information you want, I'll try to help out.  Smile
