The Metlink website has new timetables for following routes, which will all operate to minimum standards level from April. I've inculded notes on some aspects of the improvements.

It now appears all these changes have been postponed until May 26. (See

Route 688 (Croydon - Olinda) - commencing 7/4/08

* Current Sunday service improved from 60 to 100 min intervals to 60 min intervals

Route 690 (Croydon - Boronia) - commencing 7/4/08

* New Sunday service introduced, at approx. hourly intervals

Route 734 (Glen Iris - Glen Waverley) - commencing 28/4/08

* Hourly Saturday service will now continue from 14:00 to 21:00
* New Sunday service introduced, at approx. hourly intervals

Route 736 (Blackburn - Mitcham) - commencing 28/4/08

* Weekend service introduced between Glen Waverley & Blackburn
* Saturday daytime service will be average 30 min service between Mitcham & Glen Waverley
(upgraded from current 40 min intervals) and hourly between Glen Waverley & Blackburn
* New Sunday service introduced, at approx. hourly intervals, operating across the entire route.
* Weekday offpeak service remains at average 40 minute intervals

Route 755 (Knox City - The Basin - Bayswater) - commencing 28/4/08

* New hourly weekday offpeak service will be introduced between The Basin & Bayswater. Currently only some weekday peak & all Saturday services operate in this section, owing to poor patronage in this section - a 30 min weekday offpeak service was previously offered in this section between February 1998 and September 2000.
* Weekday evening services between The Basin & Bayswater are also moderately improved - the last bus arrives Bayswater at 19:17 (currently 18:19) and departs at 19:26 (currently 18:22). Saturday & Sunday evening services will run to/from Bayswater until just before 21:00.
* The section of route between The Basin Shops & The Basin Turntable misses out on any additonal weeknight trips, with the last trip still arriving at 19:28. (Last bus on weekdays departs from Knox City at 20:54 & The Basin Shops at 21:00.)
* New Sunday service introduced, at approx. hourly intervals, operating across the entire route.

Route 765 (Box Hill - Mitcham) - commencing 28/4/08

* Saturday service remains 30 min intervals in morning & 45 min intervals in afternoon, and 45-60 min intervals in the evening.
