Hi
I'm living temporarily in Moo Ban Sammakorn, off Ramkhanhaeng Rd, Soi 112.
I'd appreciate any information on how to get to/from downtown Bangkok (i.e. to BTS/MTS lines or Khao Sarn Road).
Many thanks,
Bob

You can take a motor bike taxi from your house to the main road (Ramkhanhaeng Rd). There could also be a truck service in your soi so look out of it.
Then you can take bus 113 to petchaburi road (pantip plaza) Partial aircon service 24hour then take route 511 (aircon) to democracy monument (khao sarn road) inbound only a connection to the BTS is available at Ratchthewi station
The fastest way to the City is to take bus 143 (non aircon) or 514 (aircon 24hour) to BangKapi or The Mall Bangkapi then walk a few hundred meters to Klong Saen Saep Then take boat service to either Asoke Pier or Tha Chang and connect with MRT or BTS. At peak hour this will save you 1 hour. but it will be very crowded and fast.
Hope that helps. |
